How To Tip AppleInsider Via Encrypted Email, Signal, SecureDrop, Keybase.io And More

Contact Us

Have a tip or lead for us? There are several ways to get in contact with our editorial team securely.

Secure email

You can reach us at [email protected]. If you would like to contact a specific editor, you can find their emails in their bio.

You may choose to encrypt your emails to AppleInsider PGP.

Our keys.Openpgp.Org fingerprint is E3B7 07E6 F735 067D 433A 9FB2 5B16 B350 F01E 060F

Please keep in mind that using PGP will encrypt the contents of your transmission but will not hide the email address from which you are sending your news tip. Several anonymous alternatives are listed below. Signal

Signal is a cross-platform encrypted messaging service that uses standard cellular telephone numbers as identifiers and uses end-to-end encryption to secure all communications to other Signal users. Messages in the Signal app can include files, voice notes, images and videos. It can also be used to make one-to-one voice and video calls. Signal keeps a record of your contact number and the last time you used the app; it does not store or display any information whom you called and spoke with.

Wickr Wickr is another instant messaging app that will allow you to exchange end-to-end encrypted and content-expiring messages with AppleInsider, including photos, videos, and file attachments. The software is available for download on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
